CSE embraces dry July to support Beyond Blue

With the knowledge that 3 million Australians are living with anxiety or depression, and after one our own the employees lost a family member to suicide earlier this year, CSE will be taking part in our own form of dry July in 2020 to raise funds to support Beyond Blue.

Beyond Blue’s vision is for everyone in Australia to achieve their best possible mental health – whatever their age and wherever they live. Through their support services, programs, research, advocacy and communication activities, Beyond Blue is breaking down the stigma, prejudice and discrimination that act as barriers to people reaching out for support.

Team members across the CSE Australia family – CSE Uniserve, CSE Crosscom, CSEW Arthur Fisher, and RCS Telecommunications– will be supporting the cause either by making a donation, taking part in dry July, or buying their colleagues “Golden Tickets” for a night off during the challenge. An everydayhero workplace fundraising page has been created, and family and friends of CSE employees are also being called on to support the fund-raising efforts. If anyone in our wider business community would like to also donate, you can visit https://workplace-fundraiser-ongoing.everydayhero.com/au/cse-goes-dry-this-july.

CSE Uniserve is proud to support Beyond Blue and play a small role in raising much-needed funds to encourage people with anxiety and depression to reach out for help… and ultimately prevent the almost eight suicides that take place in Australia every day.

Beyond Blue are creating some fantastic resources at this time, including the Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service webpage with information and resources for anyone who might be experiencing concerns or anxiety as a result of the current conditions.
